The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) provides scholarships each year to Latino students looking to attend college or pursue higher education in the coming year. With a mind toward improving and supporting Hispanic-American higher education, HSF has awarded more than $400 million in scholarships.
Each year, in addition to the General HSF Scholarship, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides opportunities for students to apply for and receive other scholarships from HSF. Often, these other scholarships hold spring-semester deadlines in January and February. While applications for many of the scholarships are closed already, there are still several that are open and taking in applications.
Typical requirements for scholarships require that applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, that they maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and they must plan on enrolling as a full-time student for the 2014-2015 academic year.
